McGinnis Market Carries on Family Traditions

For close to 30 years, McGinnis Market has been the premier destination for the best meat, seafood, chicken and produce in western Pennsylvania. John McGinnis learned about treating customers right and providing the best foods from his father Elwood, who started the family out in the grocery business back in the 1940's.

In keeping with his father's tradition, products at McGinnis Market are always fresh, never frozen, and are delivered daily from select locations throughout the country. And, nothing touches a shelf or counter until it has John McGinnis' personal approval.

Recently, another generation of McGinnis' has joined the industry as John's daughter has joined him to lead McGinnis Market into the future.

Culinary Treasure Hunt

Many have described a visit to our store as a "culinary treasure hunt" with each aisle revealing unique and surprising food finds. And often, our guests are most surprised by our welcoming environment. We make it a priority to offer personalized attention to each customer and his or her specific needs. The days of the local grocery are still here at McGinnis Market.

Giving to the Community

As his father did many years ago, John continues to support local charities.

50/50 Program - We will match up to $25 for a McGinnis Market gift basket or gift card. For example, if your organization gives $25 towards a gift basket or card, we'll match that amount and design a basket worth $50 or give you a $50 gift card.

John also donates about $4,000 annually to the Catholic Diocese for its scholastic scholarship program.
